Would you like to have a Passport from Pontinha?

Prince Renato II of Pontinha is fighting for the Independence of his own country, the Principality of Pontinha. The government of Portugal, quit the island to him without respecting his right of property, a right recognised by Human Rights. The sovereignty of the Principality of Pontinha is based on a document ‘’Carta Regia’’. This document shows, that the property and sovereignty of the Islet of Sao José was sold by the King of Portugal. So, in legal terms, Pontinha is a State, even not being recognised by UN countries.
Renato II is a modern Prince and he uses the Social networks to announce the news related with his own state, the Principality of Pontinha. During the last week, he posted the following: the Foreign Office of the Principality is issuing the respective passports to the diplomatic members of the Principality if they wish the passport was to contact the services at the time of the expedition or by electronic mail with reference to the respective identification number of the Principality.
So, Pontinha is acting as what it is, a real state. Renato II is taking the example of Seborga, Liberland or Sealand, States which have not been recognised by UN countries, called as micronations. So, from this moment, the Principality of Pontinha issues diplomatic passports.
The issue of passaports it is not the only measure of the Principality of Pontinha. Renato II has also some other projects for his country. He is looking for diplomats, and ministers who can help the Principality to obtain recognition from the Republic of Portugal and from other states.
So if you have time and you want to participate in the history of this tiny country, now you have a great opportunity to work for this country and to obtain the nationality.

INDEPENDENTIST DESIRE IN MADEIRA

Flag of Madeira
The history of Madeira begins with the discovery of the islands by Portugal in 1419.
In 1419 two captains of Prince Henry the Navigator, João Gonçalves Zarco and Tristão Vaz Teixeira, were driven by a storm to the island they called Porto Santo, or Holy Harbour, in gratitude for their rescue from shipwreck. The next year an expedition was sent to populate the island, and, Madeira being described, they made for it, and took possession on behalf of the Portuguese crown, together with captain Bartolomeu Perestrello.

Since the 17th century, Madeira's most important product has been its wine, sugar production having since moved on to Brazil, São Tomé and Príncipe, and elsewhere. Madeira wine was perhaps the most popular luxury beverage in the colonial Western Hemisphere during the 17th and 18th centuries. The British Empire occupied Madeira as a result of the Napoleonic Wars, a friendly occupation which concluded in 1814 when the island was returned to Portugal, and the British did much to popularise Madeira wine.
When, after the death of king John VI of Portugal, his usurper son Miguel of Portugal seized power from the rightful heir, his niece Maria II, and proclaimed himself 'Absolute King', Madeira held out for the Queen under the governor José Travassos Valdez until Miguel sent an expeditionary force and the defence of the island was overwhelmed by crushing force. Valdez was forced to flee to England under the protection of the Royal Navy (September 1828).

In 1891 a census revealed the population on Madeira to be 132,223 inhabitants.

In 1914 all German property was confiscated in Madeira, including the ship, the Colmar, built in 1912 which was interned in Madeira in 1914. In 1916 it was renamed Machico and in 1925 it was bought from the Portuguese Government and renamed Luso; in 1955 it was scrapped after grounding damage.
On March 9, 1916, Germany declared war on Portugal, followed by Portugal declaring war on Germany and starting to organise Portuguese troops to go to the Western Front. The effect of the Portuguese participation in World War I was first felt in Madeira on December 3, 1916 when the German U-boat, U-38, captained by Max Valentiner went into Funchal harbour on Madeira and torpedoed and sank 3 ships, CS Dacia (1,856 tons),[4] SS Kanguroo (2,493 tons) and Surprise (680 tons). In 1917 on December 12, two German U-boats, again bombarded Funchal, Madeira.

WWII

Portugal in World War II was neutral, but Salazar's decision to stick with the oldest alliance in the world, cemented by the Treaty of Windsor (1386) between Portugal and England, which is still in force today, meant that the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance allowed Madeira to help the allies and in July 1940 around 2,000 Gibraltarian [11] Evacuees were shipped to Madeira
On November 12, 1940 Hitler issued Führer Directive No. 18 in which there was the possibility to invade Portugal and he also said "I also request that the problem of occupying Madeira and the Azores should be considered, together with the advantages and disadvantages which this would entail for our sea and air warfare. The results of these investigations are to be submitted to me as soon as possible."
On the 28 May 1944 the first repatriation party leaves Madeira for Gibraltar and by the end of 1944 only 520 non-priority evacuees remained on the island.
On 1 July 1976, following the democratic revolution of 1974, Portugal granted political autonomy to Madeira, celebrated on Madeira Day. The region now has its own government and legislative assembly.
12 September 1978, the creation of the Madeira flag. The blue part symbolizes the sea surrounding the island and the yellow represents the abundance of life on the island. The red cross of the Order of Christ, with a white cross on it, is identical to the one on the flag of Prince Henry's ships that discovered the island.

MADEIRA'S INDEPENDENCE DESIRE

27 years after the Portuguese Revolution of 25th April, 1974, the Isle of Madeira again has an independence movement. This time it is not the extremist FLAMA, which launched grenade attacks against state institutions in the “hot “ days after the coup which toppled Portugal’s fascist regime, but the Secretary General of the main political force in Madeira, the PSD. The archipelago of Madeira is 1,000 km South-West of Lisbon in the Atlantic Ocean. Populated by Portuguese explorers since 1420, these islands are autonomous regions within Portuguese Territory, along with the Azores Islands, 700 km to the west. Being islands, the local culture and way of speaking have their own characteristics but the independence movement which appeared after the Revolution never really gained bases. Now, however, Jaime Ramos, General Secretary of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), in government in the regional parliament of Madeira but the opposition party in continental Portugal, has launched a flagrant bid for autonomy: “Autonomy is a fight which only ends when all the political, administrative and constitutional mechanisms arrive at what can really be called Independence….We, the people of Madeira, have more than enough reasons to continue to fight for Madeira and Porto Santo to one day be free from the colonial power which unfortunately the socialists and social-fascists wish to impose on the freedom we have gained”. The archipelago of Madeira is an important tourist destination and is becoming an investment centre for off-shore financial operations. Madeira is the main island, 57km. x 22 km, with around 250,000 people. As countries pull together inside the European Union, regions pull apart as Europe sees a greater integration at the institutional level and more cultural freedom and an increased capacity for local expression at the regional one.

FLAMA

Flag of the FLAMA
The Liberation Front of the Madeira Archipelago was an independentista movement of Madeira with respect to Portugal created in reaction to the hypothesis that continental Portugal evolved towards a communist regime.1 Born alongside the Liberation Front of the Azores, the independence movement of the Azores and with the same duration and objectives, FLAMA carried out armed actions in the years 1974-1975 during the PREC (Revolutionary Process in Progress), claiming independence of the archipelago. Later with the defenitive establishment of the democratic regime, the independence sentiment in Madeira and Azores was appeased.

PONTINHA'S DESIRE OF INDEPENDENCE

The difference between Madeira's independentists and Pontinha's independentists is the size of the territory and of course, the fact that in Madeira 100% of population have the desire of Independence.

The Principality of Pontinha is a micronation on an islet, which is physically joined to Madeira island, Portugal. King Carlos I of Portugal sold the islet on October 9, 1903 to the Blandy family of Madeira, who were involved in Madeira wine. The money was needed by the king to develop the port of Funchal.
The principality was purchased by the art teacher Renato de Barros in 2000 for £19,500 from the Blandy family. Renato Barros I communicated on November 30, 2007, confirming the independence of the island from Portugal, which first occurred in 1903.
The Royal Charter of October 26, 1903 has the following content:

Dom Carlos I (...) does well to transmit to him by irrevocable and pure sale all the possession and dominion that in that building had the National Treasury for (...) the bidder, his heirs and successors (...)

The principality introduced bitcoin in December 2015, as the official currency by the Prime Minister of Pontinha Joby Weeks.
In February 2017, José Manuel Coelho asked for political asylum in the self-declared principality, which was granted by D. Renato Barros I.

Who is Cesidio Tallini?

Cesidio Tallini is a famous person in the world due to its claims of independence and sovereignty of several micronations in the world. He is known for being the founder of the Cesidian Root and for being the founder of the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA). He also became very popular when he helped Prince Renato II of Pontinha to create its own state in the coast of Madeira, in Portugal.

He is a many-sided individual as an International Diplomat, Hi-Tech Entrepreneur, Journalist, Alternative Scholar, and Governor of the UMMOA.

UMMOA

Cesidio Tallini calls himself governor of the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA) ''the world's first supermicronation.''
He established UMMOA on Jan. 19, 2008, through what he calls “the most peaceful and bloodless battle in world history.”

“The UMMOA claims 30 disputed islands, atolls, archipelagos or points scattered across the Pacific Ocean, Caribbean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, and Indian Ocean; it claims one Antarctic continental territory; and the UMMOA also claims one highly scattered municipality (a diaxenospitia), which is a collective of all the private properties of three micronations.”

CESIDIAN ROOT

High-tech entrepreneur Tallini says he created the Cesidian Root in order to provide access to the Internet completely free from government control -- one of the reasons he expanded the standard set of top-level domains (common TLDs include .edu and .com) to include .god, .africa and many more.
Tallini explains that the Cesidian Root is not under the jurisdiction of the United States or any another other country, despite servers located all over the world.

The Cesidian Root is an independent root (or Internet) that was started by the Governor of the UMMOA on 30 September 2005, and for the benefit of unrepresented or under-represented people who wish to utilise this resource for reasons of independence and/or national security.

VIPs and DNS technicians also utilise this root for the same or similar reasons, and we hope to provide our services to independence-minded jurisdictions worldwide in the future as well.

The Cesidian Root became a full-fledged root on 23 November 2005, and on 11 January 2006 it became a complete Internet. On 8 March 2006, the Cesidian Root became an intercontinental Internet, now using root servers in the Europe and North America regions.
The Cesidian Root now resolves not one, but several roots: ICANN-IANA root (or US government/legacy root), Cesidian Root proper, UCANN2, some OpenNIC domains, and New-Nations.

The Cesidian Root was started because problems were discovered with the Public-Root, problems that lead us to believe that the root was not safe, nor was the future of this root entirely assured. The Governor of the UMMOA held not one, but 10 Top-Level Domains (TLDs) that depended on the services of this root, and these TLDs at this point in time required another root for their services.

After discovering that another root that was forming in the wake of the Public-Root collapse was no more reliable than the Public-Root itself, the Governor of the UMMOA and Massimiliano Mastrocinque, a brilliant Italian IT, started the Cesidian Root.

Later Karin and Peter Dambier joined the team with their eclectic IT skills. Today the Cesidian Root can also count on the technical perfectionism of Kai Kellner, who is making the Cesidian Root one of the best maintained DNS root server systems worldwide.

Today the Cesidian Root exists, and is maintained despite the high expenses, for reasons beyond independence and/or national security.

The ICANN-IANA's Internet offers no protection of First Amendment rights within its global, monopolistic network, which is hypocrisy besides being a violation of Cesidian law. If you are not going to enforce universal rules and rights applicable to all Internet users across the world, regardless of jurisdiction, what is the purpose of a single ICANN root?

However, even corporate, non-government controlled parts of the Internet have become so arbitrary and commercial that the network no longer deserves to be supported as a global public service, since it largely serves the interests of private profiteers who never developed the Internet, yet now act like they have some esclusive monopoly over certain word strings, even over single Roman characters.

MICRONATIONS

One of the leading advocates of micronations is Cesidio Tallini, who lives in the New York metropolitan area.  Brought up in both North America and Italy, he always felt ‘out of place.’

Cesidio describes himself as “a 53 year old Cesidian religiously, a unique form of Judeo-Christianity. I am also a United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago or UMMOA national, a recognised internationally-distributed polity.”

He currently spends much of his time promoting his idea of the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago – more commonly known as UMMOA.

CESIDIO TALLINI, THE WRITER

Along his trajectory, Cesidio Tallini has wroten several books about micronations and communitites which wanted to be independent political jurisdictions. C.Tallini wrote the following books:

- 25 September 2008, A history of the future: Independent Long Island, [ISBN-10: 1-59899-129-9]
- 8 August 2009, The Fifth World: Micronationalism on Steroids, [ISBN-13: 978-1448663538]
- 17 October 2009, All Religions Are Cults: And What a Few Good Priests, Monks, Rabbis and Mullahs Can Do About It, [ISBN-13: 978-1449553555]

LONG ISLAND

Tallini provides an excellent geographical and anthropological history of his home including the names and fates of most of the native tribes of Long Island. The Native American name for Long Island is Paumanok, which translates to "The Island that Pays Tribute". According to Tallini, not much has changed; Long Island suffers from exorbitant taxation without sufficient representation and should secede from the United States. Just as our American founding fathers fought for independence from Great Britain over 200 years ago, Tallini devotes himself full time to the task of seeing to Long Island's independence. However, due to a minor obstacle called the U.S. Constitution, "the likelihood of a 51st state of [Independent Long Island] seems close to impossible." That leaves complete secession from the greater United States as the only other option, viable or not. Tallini posits many reasons why Long Island should qualify for nation-statehood, such as its large land mass and population.

Tallini goes on to cite several advantages Long Island would enjoy if it rose up against its oppressor, such as the economic and natural rights which other international islands enjoy. Additionally, an independent Long Island, as a smaller entity, could look out for its own interests better than the current New York State does, such as bringing back the maritime industries it used to enjoy and creating new jobs for its residents.

Some of Tallini's ideas certainly reside out of the mainstream but that does not quench his obvious passion. Regardless of its ideology, A History of the Future: Independent Long Island reads like The Little Engine that Could. Definitely an interesting read.

PRINCIPALITY OF PONTINHA

Cesidio Tallini participated in Pontinha's independence. For those who don't know, Pontinha is a little country, located in Madeira, a micronation founded by Renato Barros, known as Prince Renato II

The Principality of Ilhéu da Pontinha was created by Royal Charter by King Carlos of Portugal in 1903, granting sovereignty to the owners of the "fort and the rock upon which it stands." The Fort of Saint José is the headquarters of the Principality of the Pontinha, led by Prince D. Renato Barros. The Fort of Saint José is located off the coast of the port of Funchal, capital of the Madeira Islands, an autonomous region of Portugal. Madeira is part of the African Tectonic plate, which makes it part of the African continent geographically.

In Novembro of 2007, Renato Barros delivered a representative of the Portuguese Republic to the Autonomous Region of Madeira, Monteiro Diniz, a "request for the disengagement of the Principality of Ilhéu da Pontinha".
At 29 months ago, Cesidio Tallini, activist and fervent supporter of independence from Long Island, issued a release in name of the "Prince D. Renato Barros, sovereign of Principality of Pontinha", announcing formally to secede from the principality of Portugal, constituting itself, the Forte de São José as the capital of the self-proclaimed country. The "prince" emphasized its good relations with the Brazilian Government, affirming that the case or principality is reconquered, this will be a port of entry for Europe. From that moment Cesidio Tallini, would became a hero in the Principality of Pontinha. He is considered as a main political person in the Principality, because he was the man who talked in name of the Prince and proclaimed independence from that country.

FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF PONTINHA

The Principality of Ilhéu da Pontinha is active in international relations and a supporter of human rights. Prince Renato since declaring his intent to seek political and economic self determination from Portugal has sought international recognition for the Principality of Ilhéu da Pontinha and a proposed 200 mile Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the Atlantic Ocean.
Cesidio Tallini has been a relevant person in Pontinha's independence, he also take care of the internatioanl relations of the little Principality of Pontinha.
The Hon. Most Rev. Dr. Cesidio Tallini has also been granted the title of Baron of the Principality of Pontinha.
