INTERVIEW TO GABRIELE DE PIERI

Today, Self Herald made an interview in Italian to Gabriele De Pieri. In this blog we translated the interview and you will see first, the interview in english and then in italian.
But who is this man?
Gabriele De Pieri represents a legitimate government recognized by the United Nations, but not by the Italian State. De Pieri represents a government in exile, the Free territory of Trieste. But today I wanted to discover a little more about this history and about the movement that De Pieri carried out.

INTERVIEW TO GABRIELE DE PIERI IN ENGLISH
Good morning Gabriele, nice to meet you and thanks for ofering your time in this interview.
From my blog we were surprised by his vocation for Venice and in particular by his vocation in the project that promotes.

Self Herald: How did it all start?
De Pieri: It all started in the early 90s then I was a militant of the Lega -Nord, but inside I felt that the political path of the League was bankrupt and time gave me reason. Seitii once a conference of studies organized in Mestre (VE) entitled: "VENETO: a sovereign people to Europe", I remember the speech that the then Josep Camps appointed to report on behalf of President Pujol, and Professor Ferran REQUERO of the University of Catalunya, but I was still different, for example: they were pro-Europeans, I'm not, they wanted to pursue a political path, but I opted for the legal path that guarantees to all the people the SELF-DETERMINATION right.

Self Herald: His project received great popular support from the Venetians. Have you received an answer from the Italian authorities?
De Pieri: My project has received an enormous response from the Veneto people, but the Italian authorities have put in place an incredible series of obstacles of various natures to make sure that people do not follow our project.

Self Herald: Have you received any kind of international support?
De Pieri: I first filed the following documents on December 08, 2010 at the UN headquarters in Geneva:
1) The act of sovereignty of the Veneto people,
2) The declaration of belonging to the Veneto people,
3) The act of rejection of the Italian citizenship illegally imposed without my consent (See DUDU art 15)
4) The universal declaration of human rights translated by me in the Venetian language by the Spanish.
5) The id card of the Confederasion Veneta.
P.S. of P.S. Among the documents presented in Geneva is also the most important: "The historical registry of the Venetian people" which is our foundation stone for the whole project. Thank you!.

Self Herald: In Europe, various independence movements such as Catalonia are re-emerging. Have they received any kind of support from them?
De Pieri: Until now there have been some timid contacts from foreign states, but unfortunately the Italian state through its foreign policy has put pressure on these states to withdraw.

Self Herald: Imagine an independent Venetian republic, do you think that the Venetians would live better?
De Pieri: We have not had any kind of support from movements or political parties, as I repeat, ours is not a political path but a legal path.

Self Herald: Believe in the self-destruction of peoples. Do you think to support Catalonia in its current secessionist process?
De Pieri: Surely the Venetians of their multi-millennial history of independence would certainly live better than in the current state.

Self Herald: I know you have an ambassador in Catalonia, he is a very active Catalan politician. Mr. Fornà is an opportunity for the recognition of Venice as an independent country, from Catalonia?
De Pieri: In the process of self-determination of polols we will certainly support Catalunya, but unfortunately Catalunya has implemented a political process of claiming, making the process of self-determination much more difficult and risky because it would speak in its case of a secession from a central state.

Self Herald: In addition to your ambassador in Catalonia, do you have other ambassadors in the world?
De Pieri: Currently we do not have embassies in Catalunya because the same is not considered as a state, so the thing is fanciful for the moment.

Self Herald: In Europe, a project called Europe of the Regions is developing. Venice is a very productive nation economically. What would be the measure of Venice in that Europe of the regions?
De Pieri: We currently have a dozen or so general consoles in the world, but we are open to all opportunities.

Self Herald: Now imagine that Venice is divided from Italy. Would you leave the European Union?
De Pieri: We are not interested in entering Europe with the current standards in the least, we should first reform the peoples' Europe and eventually create a confederal Europe.

Self Herald: If so, what measures would it take?
De Pieri: First of all, I would create a sovereign currency, subsequently boosting the local economy by drastically reducing the tax burden.

Self Herald: His movement is an initiative with a great media impact. They started distributing identity cards. Are you thinking of granting noble titles and dignity as the Republic of Venice did in the past?
De Pieri: No, we can give honorary citizenship in the case of undisputed merits, there is a nobility of honor.

Self Herald: My blog, Self Herald, always transmits articles on micronations or stateless nations. We produce articles on micronations like Sealand, Liberland, Pontinha, etc ...
Have you considered the option to recognize one of these small countries?
De Pieri: Why not!?,. we recognize all those who recognize us.

Self Herald: Thank you for your interview, Mr.De Pieri. It has been an honour for me to interview you, a persona who has worked several years on the defense of a nation, recognized by the UN. It has been a pleasure, thanks for your time.
De Pieri: Thank you for your availability Eduard.

Self Herald: Come è iniziato tutto?

Grazie!.

Self Herald: In caso affermativo, quali misure attuerebbe?

Produciamo articoli su micronazioni come Sealand, Liberland, Pontinha, ecc ...
Hai considerato l'opzione di riconoscere uno di questi piccoli paesi?
De Pieri: Perchè no!?,. noi riconosciamo tutti quelli che ci riconoscono.

BARCELONA WILL SECEDE FROM CATALONIA

Flag of Tabarnia
Do you know that a part of Catalonia wants to secede from Catalonia?
Yes, that's right. The Nation of Tabarnia, a very industrial and turistic area which includes the city of Barcelona.

Thousands of Catalans are determined to get Tarragona and Barcelona separated from Girona and Lleida, that is, from the independentist Catalonia.
This week was known the willingness of almost fifty Catalan businessmen to promote a referendum to get a community formed uniprovincial Barcelona and Tarragona and has no relationship with the rest of Catalonia, forming Tabarnia.

After knowing this initiative, in change.org, has begun to collect signatures to carry out the idea. So far, almost 5,000 signatures have been collected.

Why this movement?
A lot of Catalans are against Catalan independence. But the majority of this people is located in certain areas and cities.
The arguments of the Catalan independentists:

- We produce more GDP than Spain, they are stealing us with hight taxes.

- We have our own culture, our language, our identity, we were a country in the past.
- We have the right of Self-Determination

The arguments of the Tabarnia independentists:
- We produce more GDP than Catalonia, they are stealing us with hight taxes.
- We have our own culture, our language, our identity, we were a country in the past.
- We have the right of Self-Determination and the Spanish Constitution allows us to secede from the actual autonomous community which is Catalonia.

That is to say, if catalans can secede for their reasons, Tabarnians can also make it. Why?
Tabarnia claims the territory that in the past was occupied by the County of Barcelona. This county was a sovereign state in the past. In fact Catalonia exists today, thanks to the County of Barcelona.
Tabarnia has its own culture, its own traditions and its millenial history. The history of baarcelona it is very long. In fact the name Barcelona comes from Barcino. Barcino was a colony of the Romans.

But why a group of catalans from Barcelona wants to secede from Catalonia?
Because this citizens are tired of Catalan separatists. Due to the Catalan independent movement, a lot of companies have escaped from Barcelona. Tourism in Catalonia has decreased up to 70% in the last months. Catalan economy lives a very bad moment. Barcelona economy has been heaten by the separatist movement. Remember that Barcelona is one of the most visited places of the world. If Barcelona economy breaks, Spanish economy will have a very big problem. This is why a lot of Barcelona Citizens wants to breakp out from Catalonia.
Ciudadanos party won in the rich cities
of the coast while the rural Catalonia
voted for secesionist parties

But are the Tabarnian  citizens a majority?
Yes, they are. I known that because, last thursday, the 21st of december of 2017, the party Ciudadanos won the Catalan Election. Ciudadanos Party is a liberal economic party which it is against catalan independence. Most citizens who voted for Ciudadanos were located in Barcelona and Taaragona.
To make a summary, the catalan cities which are in the cost, which are very industrial and touristic voted for the orange partty (Ciudadanos), while the rural interior Catalonia voted for secesionist party, you can see that in the map in the right.

IS THIS MOVEMENT CLAIMING SOMETHING LEGAL?
Yes it is. The Catalan Referendum which catalan independentists are claiming is ilegal. But what the Tabarnian movement is claiming is completely legal. In Spain, a region cannot secede from the state, but a part of an autonomous community can secede from their own autonomous community.
In particular, Article 143 of the Constitution of the Spanish Constitution says:
1. In the exercise of the right to autonomy recognized in Article 2 of the Constitution, bordering provinces with common historical, cultural and economic characteristics, insular territories and provinces with historical regional entities may access their self-government and become Communities Autonomous in accordance with the provisions of this Title and the respective Statutes.
2. The initiative of the autonomous process corresponds to all the interested Provincial Councils or to the corresponding inter-island body and to two thirds of the municipalities whose population represents, at least, the majority of the electoral census of each province or island. These requirements must be met within six months of the first agreement adopted in this regard by any of the interested local Corporations.
3. The initiative, if it does not prosper, can only be repeated after five years.

POPULARITY
This movement has become very popular not only in Catalonia, also in all the Spanish territory, in only few weeks.
Some catalan businessman made a big campaign in the last two weeks. Citizens like this iniciative too much and a lot of people is joining to it. This movement it is running very fast. A lot of people are making portraits and several mottos defending this movement. Thousands of people from Catalonia are joining this iniciative in only ONE WEEK.

Social media is playing a mian role in this situation. A lot of economists and politicians and mass media are talking about this new movement.

Antena 3, one of the main televisions of Spain have talked recently about this movement.

Some newspapers like ABC also have talked about this movement. A lot of civil entities have also participated in this movement in the last week.

Relevant people from Catalonia like Alejo Vidal-Quadras have talked about this movement, and so many companies want to promote this iniciative, for fighting against the catalan independent movement.
IF CATALANS WANT TO SECEDE, THAT'S FINE, BARCELONA AND TARRAGONA WILL SECEDE ALSO FROM CATALONIA

NEWSPAPERS

Several newspapers talked about the Tabarnian Issue. Televisions also talked about that. During the last week, Spanish Mass Media is talking all the time about this issue. It seems to be very viral.

Televisions like LaSexta, Antena3, 324, Intereconomia, and a large etcetera have talked about his movement in a very serious way.

Joke made by Self Herald
JOKES

A lot of blogs and digital media have made in the last day, several jokes about that issue, in most cases jokes related to catalan independentist politics who ask for a referendum in Catalonia, but who don't accept a referendum in Barcelona.
Sef Herald made its own jokes, also.

WHO MADE THIS MOVEMENT?

A group of catalan citizens, which are not agree with the independence of the Catalan Republic.

A lot of facebook groups movilized people to join this movement. In facebook, there is a very active group with thousands of people joining every day and supporting this movement.

TABARNIA, THE END OF CATALAN SECESSIONISM
Proponents of Tabarnia wish to distance themselves from the Catalan separatist movement and reclaim the right of a number of territories near the area of Barcelona and Tarragona to constitute themselves as an autonomous community within Spain. In the 2015 and 2017 Catalan regional elections, parties opposed to secession (mainly Citizens, PSC and PP) received a majority of votes and seats in some of these comarques (Tarragonès, Baix Penedès, Garraf and Baix Llobregat) including the city of Tarragona, but excluding the most populated Catalan city: Barcelona. They allude to a series of fiscal arguments similar to those of Catalan separatism in regards to Spain. The term "Tabarnia" is a neologism based on the names of Tarragona and Barcelona, the two Catalan provinces where support for separatism is lower, although in last Catalan election, Tarragona province showed more support for separatism than unionism.
The movement has a legal basis in the Canadian Clarity Act, according to which regions opposed to Quebecois separatism are to remain within Canada in case of a secession, as well as Articles 143 and 144 of the Spanish Constitution, which allows the formation of autonomous communities.

Political Claims
Tabarnians claim vote representation in Catalonia to be unfair across the four different provinces Lleida, Girona, Tarragona and Barcelona, resulting in unfair economic investment. Under the current electoral law, in the province of Barcelona 48.521 votes are needed to elect one representative in the Catalan Parlament for the 20.915 votes needed in Lleida, resulting in a 2.3 ratio. Tarragona requires 31.317 votes and Girona 30.048. Catalan separatists argue the current electoral law ensures political representation for areas with a lower population density while tabarnians argue the law has not been revised because historically Lleida and Girona have always had a majority of voters in favor of the separatist political parties that have kept them in government.
The same way Catalan separatist have used an interpretation of economic data to argue they have an unfavourable finance balance towards the rest of spain, Tabarnians argue Tarragona and Barcelona underrepresentation in the Catalan Parlament has resulted in unfavourable finance balance towards their region, also backed by similar interpretation of economic data.
The Tabarnia Movement is still in its early days and is too soon to know how their political claims will unfold. Some Tabarnians simply believe this movement to be a satirical response that mirrors separatist with their own logic. Some Tabarnians demand that, in case a hypothetycal referendum for Catalonia independence was held, the seven different veguerias (Vegueria) be decided separately, so "Tarragona" and "Àmbit metropolità" are not declared independent against their democratic will. Some Tabarnians have grown so tired of the catalan separatist movement, that seem committed to celebrate a referendum in october 2018 to split from Catalonia as an Spanish autonomous region wether the previous referendum takes place or not. Some Tabarnians want to be declared a new autonomous region, which they argue is legally plausible under the present Spanish Constitution of 1978.

THE VALLEY OF ARAN

Everyone of you know that between Spain and France there is a little recognized and very old country: Andorra.

Andorra is a group of Valleys which it is independent since 1278.
But inside Catalonia there is another valley, the Valley of Aran.
There, people also voted the Party of Ciudadanos, which it is against catalan independentists. So the people from the Valley of Aran also support the movement of Tabarnia. In fact, they were the ''promoters'' of this political movement. Aranese people always wanted to secede from Catalonia. It is a Valley with its own culture and language. In the Valley of Aran they don't speak only catalan and spanish, they have their own language the aranese.

Catalonia and Liberland can make a mutual recognition agreement

Everyone knows that Catalonia is preparing for independence. A lot of Catalans whishes to be an independent state. But a big part of catalans are opposing also to this situation. Last thursday, the 21st of December, Catalans voted to elect their political representatives. The independent parties will have absolute majority in the Catalan Parliament. Vit Jedlicka, the founder of the Liberland self-proclaimed state knows very well what is happening in Catalonia. Jedlicka es looking for international recognition and he knows that Catalonia is a big opportunity for him.

The president of Catalonia, Carles Puigdemont proclaimed independence, he proclaimed the Republic of Catalonia in the ParlIament. But this independence has not been recognize by any state of the world, so this independence it is not ''de facto'' applied in Catalonia. Independent parties whishes to stablish independence in Catalonia, so Liberland can be their first step. There are some signals that shows this situation. Artur Mas, last president of Catalonia, the one who started the independent movement, had a meeting with Vid Jedlicka and with Conrad Freeman.

Who is Conrad Freeman?

Liberland oppened more embassies in the world than some recognized countries. One of theses embassies is located in Spain. Conrad Freeman is the representative of Liberland in Spain. But now Jedlicka, president of Liberland, Freeman representative of Liberland and Spain and Artur Mas, last president of Catalonia are stablishing diplomatic relations. So Liberland will open also an embassy in Catalonia. For that reason, Freeman, last wednesday, made an historical event in Barcelona. He organized a dinner where a lot of Libertarian groups of Catalonia participated. I will make an article about this event, but I should say that this event was a succesful one and Freeman made this event for announcing the future Embassy that Liberland will have in Catalonia.

Catalonia, a Libertarian country

Catalan culture is one of the oldest cultures in Europe. The Catalan language has been used by several centuries. Catalans have their identity but there is one fact which is very interesting in Catalan people, their sprit of enterpreneurship. Catalans have always been a very entrepreneur society. During a long time ago, was the most industrialized region in Europe. I say that in a partial way, it is true. Catalonia, now is not an industrialized place, it is a very touristic place, which is different. Some catalans want to be independent for its cultural identity but others want that for economic reasons. Barcelona, has been the seat of Mobile World Congress, Barcelona is appointing as the ''New Sillicon Valley'' of Europe. Barcelona, Reus and Sabadell were very industrialized cities in the past. In the city of Reus, a great architect was born, Gaudí. Yes, the one who designed the Casa Milà, ''La pedrera'', he also designed a lot more buildings each year visited by millions of visitors, all over the world.
El Prat, the airport of Barcelona, one of the most important in the world. Football Club Barcelona, one of the best football clubs in the world. I can continue giving examples about the entrepreneurship of the catalans, but I won't continue.
What it matters, in the topic of this blog is that Catalonia can support Liberland independence and viceversa. In Catalonia, Libertarianism is an ideology which it is growing and it is perfectly compatible with the Catalan character. Catalans have always been very openning to new business and most Catalans whould have to live in a libertarian country so they will agree in making several projects together with countries like Liberland.

The Links between Catalonia and Liberland
This last months, Catalonia has been an issue in the international media. Most Catalans are asking for independence. They won a referendum of self-determination, but the Spanish state does not accept this referendum. The important issue here, is that Catalans are asking for the same as Liberlanders.
Liberland in this moment is not recognized by the powerful countries but it
Liberland has the support of the people and the support of several businessman that want to stablish their own libertarian state in the Heart of Europe. But Liberland has a problem, it is not recognized by the powerful countries, for this reason Liberland is stablishing diplomatic relations with disputed territories of the world. But the great strategy that Vít Jedlička has developed for promoting the republic and for stablishing diplomatic relations, is to create embassies all over the world. Liberland has more embassies that some recognized states. One of this embassies is the Spanish one. The representative of Liberland in Spain is Conrad Freeman. Due to the independent wishes of the catalan people, Liberland has decided to open another embassy in Catalonia. And this is what I am going to talk today.
Liberland began to stablish relations with independent catalan politicians. We have several examples of that. Vid Jedlicka and Conrad Freeman had a meeting with Artur Mas , the last President of Catalonia. That is to say, Liberland and Catalonia are stablishing diplomatic relations and this is a big opportunity for Liberland.
Conrad Freeman, made a festival, last Wednesday. The reason of that is to promote the future Liberland Assembly in Caatalonia. Freeman is an intelligent man, so he planned an strategy to promote Liberland in Catalonia.  First of all, Freeman in the last months have created several pages in social media, in catalan language. A lot of Catalans have learn about the tiny Free Republic thanks to the promotion of Freeman in social media.

THE FESTIVAL
Once, a lot of Catalans learned about the Liberland issue, Freeman organized a festival in a restaurant in Barcelona. It was a greateful event. In the festival, several members of the Liberland project participated, Freeman, Petra and the representative in Andorra, Enric Flix.
In the festival, assist several catalan libertarian groups, like Students for Liberty, The Catalonian Libertarian Party (P-Lib), Catalans Lliures (CCL) and the Von Mises Institute of Barcelona (IvMB). It was a grateful event. First of all we made a presentation between all the assistants of the event. Then C.Freeman made a conference, explaining to everyone about the Liberland Issue. Conrad Freeman gave a lot of details, he explained the project of Liberland but also he talked about the architectural projects that have been involved in the development of Liberland. He talked also a lot about the political situation of Liberland. He explained that Somaliland which is a peaceful country in Africa, has recognised Liberland as a sovereign country. Freeman talked about the supporters of the Free Republic. He explained that several millionaires and billionaires are supporting our country and that these wealthy people want to invest in our project. Freeman gave a lot of details about that. He talked about his own libertarian background. His relatives participated in the Freedom of the United States of America. He showed as a document where his relatives appeared, showing their participation in the Independence of the most powerful country in the world. So Freeman has freedom wishes in his own blood.
In the conference he gave a lot of details about the political and economic strategy of Liberland. He explained very well which embassies Liberland has opened in the last years since independence.
But he announced something incredible. In May of the next year, Conrad Freeman will open an embassy of Liberland in Catalonia. Since the moment he said that, most assistants get impressed. I was in the event and I was sitting with some assistants. When Freeman announced the next embassy in Catalonia, I heard people saying ‘’I will go to the Embassy’’.

Freeman said that they are planning the location of the Embassy but surely, this one will be located in Passeig de Gràcia, which is one of the main touristic places in Barcelona. It is a big avenue surrounded by luxury and old buildings. Freeman, offered to all the assistants to participate in the Embassy of Liberland in Barcelona, and I saw that the assistants which were next to me were satisfied for the opening of this embassy and I realised a lot of Catalans living in Barcelona, will participate in this project. In Catalonia, people is very entrepreneur. Barcelona has some of the best enterprises of Marketing of the world and a lot of young people, who claims the right of freedom and self-determination, surely they will be volunteers of this project.
After the conference, Petra talked about the Issue of Liberland, and then, Freeman started a Concert. The event that took place in Barcelona, last Wednesday it was a useful event for Liberland and a big party for all the assistants. After the conference of Freeman and the intervention of Petra, we also had lunch.
The independence process of Catalonia it is playing a very important role to the recognition of Liberland. Catalonia and Liberland can reach and agreement of mutual recognition. This last week, elections have been made in Catalonia, and the independentist parties have absolute majority in the Parliament. This is a huge opportunity for the recognition of Liberland and from this article I ask everyone to join our project. The development of economy requires of working with very little states with few regulations.

The Valley of Aosta, a great history of micronationalism

Flag of Aosta
Coat of arms of Aosta
Valle d'Aosta is one of the twenty regions that make up the Italian Republic. Its capital and most populated city is Aosta. It is located in northwestern Italy, bounded on the north by Switzerland, on the east and south by Piedmont and on the west by France. It is one of the five regions with special status, in Italy. Located in the Western Alps, on both sides of the Dora Baltea basin, it is part of the Alps-Mediterranean Euroregion.

LOCATION
It is located at the confluence of the Buthier with the Dora Baltea (in French, Doire baltée), at the junction of the roads leading to the Mont Blanc tunnel and the Great San Bernardo.

HISTORY
Aosta was founded by the halls; in the 25 a. C. became capital of the region colonized by the Romans and took the name of Augusta Praetoria.

During the Roman period it was enriched with buildings, bridges, aqueducts and still preserves from this period the walls, the typical urban structure in the form of a chessboard and important monumental testimonies.

In the Middle Ages, after enduring the dominations of the Goths, Franks and Saracens, it passed to the Savoy in 1025.

In 1031–1032 Humbert I of Savoy, the founder of the House of Savoy, received the title Count of Aosta from Emperor Conrad II of the Franconian line and built himself a commanding fortification at Bard. Saint Anselm of Canterbury was born in Aosta in 1033 or 1034. The region was divided among strongly fortified castles, and in 1191 Thomas I of Savoy found it necessary to grant to the communes a Charte des franchises ("Charter of Liberties") that preserved autonomy—rights that were fiercely defended until 1770, when they were revoked in order to tie Aosta more closely to Piedmont, but which were again demanded during post-Napoleonic times. In the mid-13th century Emperor Frederick II made the County of Aosta a duchy (see Duke of Aosta), and its arms charged with a lion rampant were carried in the Savoy arms until the reunification of Italy in 1870.

The region remained part of Savoy lands, with the exceptions of French occupations from 1539 to 1563, later in 1691, then between 1704 and 1706. As part of the Kingdom of Sardinia it joined the new Kingdom of Italy in 1861. It was also ruled by the First French Empire between 1800 and 1814. During French rule, it was part of Aoste arrondissement in Doire department.

The region gained special autonomous status after the end of World War II; the province of Aosta ceased to exist in 1945.

LANGUAGES
In Aosta, the Valdostan dialect of the Franco-Provençal language is used. The official languages are French and Italian.

CLIMATE

The valleys, usually above 1600 metres, annually have a Cold Continental Climate (Dfc). In this climate the snow season is very long, as long as 8 or 9 months at the highest points. During the summer, mist occurs almost every day. Areas between 2000 metres and 3500 metres usually have a Tundra Climate (ET), where every month has an average temperature below 10 °C (50 °F). This climate may be a kind of more severe Cold Oceanic Climate

AOSTA INDEPENDENCE MOVEMENT
Aosta have always been a place where citizens want to be independent from Italy.

INTERNATIONAL MEDIA
Several micronationalists and libertarians support Aosta independence.

MOVEMENT OF CULTURAL OPINION

Pays d'Aoste is a non-profit, non-profit cultural opinion movement that is part of the cultural association Centro Studi Jean-Baptiste De Tillier founded in Aosta in 1989.
The Pays d'Aoste group was founded in 2012 with the intention of defending and promoting the identity of Valle d'Aosta.

PAYS D'AOSTE

It all started at the beginning of 2012, both during and after the numerous conferences to present the book "The Question of Valle d'Aosta: a nation without a State", which took place in many places in Valle d'Aosta by Mauro Caniggia Nicolotti and Luca Poggianti.

During these meetings, several people interested in developing issues related to the Valle d'Aosta identity and the history of our land decided to organize together in a cultural movement.

Strong, therefore, of such interest on the part of many, on October 27 the group "Pays d'Aoste" was established within the cultural association Centro Studi De Tillier.

"Pays d'Aoste" is a cultural and non-partisan, non-denominational opinion movement that aims to bring together all those people and groups that recognize themselves in the principles listed here.

We care about Valle d'Aosta and we intend to work to safeguard its territorial integrity, as well as ethnic-linguistic and cultural autonomy, but also its historical autonomy. Therefore, we support and demand the right to self-determination of the inhabitants of Valle d'Aosta.

In fact, we believe that the dissemination of well-being among the citizens of Valle d'Aosta and the social and economic development of Valle d'Aosta can not ignore the defense of these values.
For them it is a priority that Valle d'Aosta recover its ancestral history, the only ingredient that can allow the reconstruction of a strong common sense of belonging to the territory, the compass of our future.
This group was born, as was initially said, from a rib of the Centro Studi De Tillier, a cultural association founded in 1989 and that since then has hundreds of initiatives (editorial, artistic, cultural, ...).

Its members have different ages, professions and backgrounds, but all converge in the commitment to defend the identity of Valle d'Aosta.

We never ask our members to vote, nor give them a voting address or chichessia.
Recently on the network appeared some criticisms towards us, defining a "ghost" movement of opinion that calls itself "Pays d'Aoste", but even adjectives (let's say "debatable") directed to our representatives and their way of thinking. We understand why these attitudes.
We are not looking for confrontation, but dialectics ... and after freedom of thought and action and respect for democratic and moral rules.
We are not tied to any political party or movement, nor do we have to account for this or another politician, or private interests or of various kinds.

We are a group that cares about Valle d'Aosta and its events. Is there something strange or subtly political in all this? We do not ask for a vote, nor ambitions for the candidacy; we do not take public contributions and we do not consider that the absolute Word prevails over any other thought.

We are simply Valle d'Aosta, who care about their territory and express this affection in the way they consider most appropriate to their abilities and desires.
All with respect to all diversity; not only of thought, but also of ethnicity, language, religion, color and other characteristics that, for us, represent only the human wealth of this world and should never be a reason for exclusion. Integration and exchange are among the many ingredients of life in common, the spirit of freedom and peace.

Republic of Waduya

The Dictator is a 2012 British-American political satire black comedy film co-written by and starring Sacha Baron Cohen as his fourth feature film in a leading role. The film is directed by Larry Charles, who previously directed Baron Cohen's mockumentaries Borat and Brüno. Baron Cohen, in the role of Admiral General Aladeen, the dictator of the fictional Republic of Wadiya visiting the United States, stars alongside Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, Jason Mantzoukas, and an uncredited appearance by John C. Reilly.

Argument
For years the Republic of Wadiya, in North Africa, has been ruled by Admiral General Haffaz Aladeen (Sacha Baron Cohen), a childish, lascivious, despotic, misogynist, anti-Western and anti-Semitic dictator who surrounds himself with female bodyguards. Aladeen refuses to allow Wadiyano oil to be sold internationally and is working on the development of nuclear weapons. After the Security Council of the United Nations decides to intervene militarily, Aladeen travels to the UN headquarters in New York to address the Council.
Shortly after arriving, he is kidnapped by Clayton, a hitman hired by his uncle Tamir, who intends to betray him. Tamir replaces Aladeen with a decoy called Efawadh, whom he intends to manipulate to sign a treaty that nominally aims to democratize Wadiya and allow the export of oil from the country leaving it in the hands of foreign interests.
Aladeen escapes after Clayton accidentally caught fire, but his huge beard had been shaved by Clayton, making him virtually unrecognizable. Soon he meets the activist Zoey, who offers him a job. Aladeen rejects the offer and travels to the "Little Wadiya" in New York located near the Marcy Avenue station, populated by refugees from his country, many of them fleeing from Aladeen. There, he meets "Nuclear" Nadal, former head of Wadiya's nuclear arms program and exproxeneta (he provided Aladeen's women), whom Aladeen believed he had previously executed. Nadal explains that the Wadiyan rebels have infiltrated his intelligence unit, sending all the people he had ordered to exile to exile.
Wanting his former bodyguard job, Nadal promises to help Aladden thwart Tamir's plans and regain his position as "supreme leader", provided that Aladeen will be the new head of Wadiya's WMD program. Aladeen agrees and accepts the offer of Zoey's work, since it takes place at the hotel where the treaty will be signed.
Aladeen gradually falls in love with Zoey after she refuses his sexual advances and later sees how she confronts a policeman with courage and passion. Around the business struggles of Zoey, Aladeen begins imposing strict schedules around the world, forming a personality cult around Zoey and intimidating an inspector to give the store a good review. However, Aladeen's relationship with Zoey becomes tense after he reveals his true identity.
After acquiring a new beard taken from a corpse, Aladeen infiltrates the hotel and tells Efawadh to leave. At the signing ceremony, he breaks Tamir's document in front of the UN delegation, and has a passionate speech praising the virtues of the dictatorship, establishing unwelcome parallels to current issues in the United States. However, upon seeing Zoey in the room, he declares his love for her and, knowing the views strongly held by Zoey, votes to democratize his country and open the Wadiya oil fields, but in a way that the population benefits. Angry with Aladeen to stay in power, Tamir tries to kill him but Efawadh jumps in front of the bullet and receives the shot but survives, since his job "was to receive bullets in the head".
A year later, Wadiya celebrates its first democratic elections, although they are rigged in favor of Aladeen (having now added the title of President Prime Minister Admiral General). Later, she marries Zoey, but is surprised when she breaks a cup with her foot and reveals herself as a Jewess.
Scenes during the final credits show Aladeen, driving green cars, visiting a Nadal reintegrated, and later Zoey reveals in a television interview that she is pregnant with the couple's first child. Aladeen responds to the news by asking Zoey if she is having "a child or an abortion." The film begins with a note that said it was dedicated to the memory of Kim Jong-il.
