WHO IS JAUME VIVES?
He was born in a Catholic family in Barcelona on June 5,
1992. Thanks to my nerves and my worries, I have not stopped doing things. He
is now a full-time journalist and a part-time writer. He has made 2
journalistic trips to Lebanon and Iraq, I have published three journalistic
essays and has produced and co-directed a documentary about persecuted
Christians.
WHY IS HE FAMOUS?
Jaume Vives is a Barcelonian who has risen to fame these
days for his humor and irony against the independence of Catalonia. It is the
famous neighbor who has put on his balcony at full volume the song of Manolo
Escobar "Qué viva España" and the anthem of the Civil Guard. He has
founded the Resistencia Catalana platform and has launched the
"Contra-revolution of smiles". But few know that he is a committed
Catholic and that he has made a documentary about persecuted Christians.
"Resistencia Catalana are all those Catalans who are
not willing to let Catalonia go and who do not intend to give away Catalonia to
those who have loaded it and who are betraying it," explains the website
of this initiative promoted by Jaume Vives. Created in this month of October,
as well as its twitter profile, it already has 32,000 followers.
In recent days has not stopped giving interviews to the
media, following the viral made several videos recorded by their neighbors, to
put on your terrace, and at full volume, the song of Viva Spain and the anthem
of the Civil Guard.
AND NOW, PRESIDENT OF TABARNIA?
Tabarnia is the proposed name for a territory of Catalonia
by the organization "Barcelona is not Catalonia", 1 2 also called
"Platform for the Autonomy of Barcelona", which aims to establish as
a new Spanish autonomous community a set of regions of Tarragona and
Barcelona.3 They consider that «the current administrative division does not
correspond to reality» and are in favor of recovering what they have called
«the historical sovereignty of the county of Barcelona».
In December 2017, thanks to social networks, the idea has
achieved relevance in the Spanish and foreign media, becoming a global trending
topic on December 27 with 635,000 tweets. The movement began a collection of
signatures on the change.org platform.16 The message posted on that page says
that "Tabarnia is a historical region that encompassed what is now
geographically Tarragona and Barcelona. In the past it was also known as the
county of Barcelona ».
